Pewter Ornaments
Pewter art has flourished in the heartland
of Bavaria since the ninth century.
From 1796 the Wilhelm Schweizer family of Diessen, Germany, has continued
this artistic heritage using original designs dating back hundreds of years.
Engraved in slabs of slate each piece is still individually cast from a mold.
The "life span" of each mold is limited to about one thousand castings
to
insure quality and precision of even the smallest detail. These ornaments make
memorable gifts which will be cherished for years to come.
Some of the ornaments are designed for hanging on the
tree or in a window. Other designs come with a pewter base for placing on a
